Castello di Albola Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Il Solatio 2016
In the heart of the Castello di Albola estate, in a formidable position that renders magical the steep slope called Solatìo due to its exposure to the full light of the south-eastern sun, here is a parcel of just under one hectare planted to Sangiovese. The altitude, which varies from 550 to 580 metres, and the rocky soil are the founding elements of Il Solatìo, from which a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione of rare merit is made. The crystal-clear class of this wine lies in its elegant aromas enriched with rarefied spicy sensations, in its very fine tannins and its straight and composed sip, so much so that it qualifies as the clearest expression of the variety.
