Otello Fabiani, the founder of La Cipriana winery, was pushed by the passion for this land when he established the winery in 1975, together with his sons Carlo and Luigi. The La Cipriana winery is located in the prestigious Bolgheri wine area, Livorno, one of the most vocated territories for producing excellent wines. La Cipriana is the third winery to be established in this area, whose first bottle of the flagship wine, named 'San Martino' in honour of the Italian poet Giosuè Carducci, dates back to 1978.
Initially, the winery bought four hectares of vines in the village of Campastrello, where the winery is located. Over the years, La Cipriana acquired four hectares on the Via Bolgherese, and then six hectares in the village of Bolgherese. As a result, the winery owns a total of fourteen hectares today. The company also has two hectares of olive groves spread over the various plots.
