Our love for wine growing originated in South Tyrol, where our roots also lie.
Originally from Bolzano, we had been harvesting our native Sauvignon Blanc grapes for a long time and delivering them to the Cantina Sociale.
In 2008 we decided to create our first Conti Thun label, in honour of Lene Thun, the woman who started the THUN ceramics business and who so loved nature and the art of winemaking. Today, we continue to work as winemakers, not only on the steep terrain of Terlano (in our private estate Weingut Kohlstatt), but also on the beautiful Lake Garda, in Valtènesi, in the Masserino Estate, which houses a production and ageing cellar, Wine Bar, Wine Shop and soon various suites and spas.
We have chosen to live in this area because here we can make our dream come true: to live according to nature, to care for the fruits of the earth with love and passion to make wine and oil, to share our work and our home with you, to create an authentic place where sustainable agriculture and hospitality, excellence and nature, emotions and poetry coexist.
To return to the land, to the rhythm of the sun and the seasons, to the breath of the hills and the wind. Our love for the Valtènesi comes from a life and family project.
