||FRANCESCO I: King of France from 1515 to 1547. The name is directly linked to the history of the sparkling wine. At the time, it happened to come across “wine that sparkled” for casual circumstances and that was considered a defect. The French king, who was busy with his court to modernize the costume, recited the new virtue of the sparkling wine against its detractors.
