Castello di Romitorio has chosen for his "Romito del Romitorio" to use the distinctive character of Sangiovese for three-fifths of its composition, making this fine wine, a respectable son of Montalcino. Sangiovese joins the power of the Tuscan tradition and modern Canaiolo breach of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes for this sophisticated blend come from our vineyards of Poggio di Sopra, located in south-east of Montalcino. The wine is aged for three years of which 14 in Tonneaux French and bottled at least 14 months before it launched. The Romito shows ruby red garnet. It 's a wine of great power and persuasiveness, opulent and perfectly balanced structure with a long and spicy final note.
