South-west of France is an extensive wine region with 16000 hectares, consists of several islands vineyards and vines between Aurillac and Rodez in the North East to the Spanish border in the south of Bayonne. Southwest is the French region where we find the greatest variety of wines. However, there is no unity in the various appellations. Each offers a range of typical and often unique varietals. The wines range from the driest to sweetest.
